I have two works in the current annual member show of the Jasper County Art League now on display at Prairie Arts Council's Lilian Fendig Gallery, Carnegie Center, Rensselaer, Indiana. This show runs September 23-October 28, 2016.
"Thorny Skies: The Political Landscape of 2016", is my commentary on the bizarre current state of things socially and politically in America.. Made (very carefully) from coiled honey locust branches connected with plastic cable ties, and alpaca fleece. It is quite large and very threatening - about 36" x 36" by 15" high.
"Harvest Dance Basket No. 2" is also on display. Coiled corn husks with waxed linen, peeled curly willow and local pheasant feathers. This work celebrates the cycles and rhythms of rural Indiana life.
