This series is inspired by the creations of the ancient Hopewell Culture which created and buried effigies of hands in their mound graves as a way to connect the spirit world with the living world.

Each copper hand is unique and selectively embellished, in this case with an amazonite & beads charm, a guinea feather and turquoise bead charm, and a textured copper ring. This hand was forged, textured and finished with a rustic patina that is sealed for a stable finish. The black cotton cord is adjustable with its longest length at 32: iThe hand measures 2 1/4” tall and 1 1/4” wide. This light weight necklace can compliment any outfit, from casual to dressy.
