This series is inspired by the creations of the ancient Hopewell Culture which created and buried effigies of hands in their mound graves as a way to connect the spirit world with the living world.

Each copper hand is unique and selectively embellished, in this case with a turquoise chunk bead & red stone charm, and a textured copper ring. This smallest hand was hand cut, filed, forged, textured and finished with a rustic patina sealed with Renaissance wax for a stable finish. The copper chain is 31” long (can easily be shortened). The pendant measures 2 3/8” tall from the top of the jump ring to the end of the longest finger, and a little over 3/4” wide. This lightweight necklace will compliment any outfit, from casual to dressy.
